17 From Clay Earn Their Associate in Science Degrees From SJRCC
St. Johns River Community College recently held a pinning ceremony to recognize 28 associate in science in nursing graduates, including 17 students from Clay County.
Several of the Clay students were recognized for special achievements during the two-year program. April Ivey received the Academic Excellence Award; Jennifer Parrott and Loretta Watson, the C.A.R.E. Award; and Mitzi Carrea, the Student Nurses Association Award.
Other Clay nursing graduates were Melody Beursken, Susan Brown, Stacy Cameron, Jennifer Davis, Kristine Hill, Sharon Huffman, Cynthia Huntley, Lindsey Mason, Allison McArthur, Julie Myers, Sheri Shaub, Sarah Warren and Sheila Wheeler.
The college offers the nursing program at the Orange Park and Palatka campuses. Additional health programs include respiratory care, nursing assistant, medical encoder, health information management and radiologic technology.
