Their depth of knowledge and experience greatly enhances our ability to publish world-class content, news and interactive features. It is our belief that to be a responsible health information site, we need to vigorously present the science of what is known in the area of mental health and help arm the consumer with a solid knowledge base. We are committed to being the health “home” page on every family’s computer,” said William Rice, M.D., Chief Medical Officer of myDNA Media, Inc.
Dr. Smaller agrees, commenting, “Whether in large metropolitan areas or underserved parts of the world, up to date and accessible mental health information remains scarce. Parents are too often without the guidance to help their children when they are in trouble. I am excited about being a part of the myDNA team to help bridge this gap.”
The Company is committed to being responsive to its audience’s needs and recognizes that consumer demand for psychiatric and mental health information continues to grow. On the Company’s site alone, mental health traffic accounts for the second largest channel of audience. According to the Health Information Online Study conducted by Pew Internet & American Life Project in May 2005, of the 80% of Internet users searching for health information, almost one out of every four are searching specifically for content related to mental health.
