Data From Clinical Trial of EndoBarrier(TM) Gastrointestinal Liner in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes to Be Presented at the First World Congress on Interventional Therapies for Type 2 Diabetes in New York City

GI Dynamics, a medical device company pioneering the development of new approaches to treating metabolic disorders, today announced that new data regarding EndoBarrier(TM), its novel, noninvasive device currently in clinical trials to treat obesity and type 2 diabetes, will be presented at the First World Congress on Interventional Therapies for Type 2 Diabetes in New York City.

The session, entitled "Novel Gastrointestinal Interventional Therapies," will be chaired by Lee M. Kaplan, M.D., Ph.D., associate professor of medicine and director of the Weight Center at Massachusetts General Hospital, on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. (EDT). Dr. Kaplan will present a keynote lecture "Endoluminal Therapies for Type 2 Diabetes" that will include new data from a prospective, randomized, sham-controlled clinical trial investigating the EndoBarrier Gastrointestinal Liner.
