Hanger Orthopedic Group, Inc. Announces a National Agreement With Government Employees Health Association, Inc. Through Linkia, Its Wholly-Owned Provider Network Management Company

BETHESDA, Md., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hanger Orthopedic Group, Inc. , through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Linkia, LLC, an orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) provider network management company, has announced a national agreement with Government Employees Health Association, Inc. (GEHA), the country's second largest national health insurance plan serving federal employees, retirees, and their families.

"We selected Linkia because of its competitive pricing, comprehensive quality program, improved access to care, and provider choice options for our members nationwide," GEHA's Medical Management Administrator Ginny Hart said. "It was important to us to find a team that could efficiently manage all of our O&P processes, while also truly understanding our members' unique clinical needs."

Effective July 1, 2008, Linkia manages the O&P provider network, consisting of Hanger-owned patient care centers and independent facilities, for GEHA and its more than 400,000 health plan members and dependents.
