Health Analytics Doubles Staff, Expands Operations

COLUMBIA, Md., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Analytics -- a healthcare intelligence firm that conducts and interprets scientific studies to improve healthcare outcomes, provide valuable business insights, and enhance business profitability -- has more than doubled its revenue and number of employees in recent months and has expanded its operations as a result. The company joined Howard County's Center for Business and Technology Development's NeoTech Incubator in 2007.

After being awarded a contract last month to evaluate the client's new approach for healthcare treatment and develop strategies for expanding patient access and market penetration, Health Analytics added several new positions to its ranks. The company brought on more project management and support staff to service the contract, which is valued at more than $2 million. Health Analytics is expanding to additional office space to accommodate its growth.

Charles Ruetsch, Ph.D., chief science officer and founder of Health Analytics, reports that the growth of the organization is in line with his expectations.

"I'm thrilled that Health Analytics is meeting its projections for steady, healthy growth. A year ago, we anticipated that we would likely double in size by 2009. We're a few months ahead of schedule, but certainly in line with where we had planned to be," said Ruetsch.

"We are pleased that Health Analytics has had the opportunity to grow its business and we are happy to provide needed space and resources to meet their needs," said Carol Morrison, director at the NeoTech Incubator at the Center for Business and Technology Development. "We look forward to Health Analytics' continued growth and success."
