McLeod Health Selects Impulse Monitoring for IONM Services

Impulse Monitoring, Inc. (IMI), a leading provider of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) services to hospitals, today announced that it has signed an agreement with McLeod Health, Florence, SC. IMI will provide McLeod with IONM services including training for McLeod's neurophysiologists, as well as real-time professional oversight by experienced physicians. IONM assesses neurological function involving the brain, spinal cord and related nerve structures during such surgeries. Use of IONM facilitates the surgical process and can reduce surgical risk by providing alerts to surgeons of potential harm to the spinal cord or neural structures.
