Health Check-Ups Prior to Trust Meeting
A Free health ‘MoT’ is being given away by for people wanting a check-up.
Tests for the heart and blood pressure will be on offer at Scunthorpe’s Pittwood House on Thursday at a hospital health check bonanza.
Nurses will be available to give people the once-over with the likes of blood pressure checks, and a diabetic team and a nutritionalist will be on hand with advice.
Being staged by North Lincolnshire and Goole Hospital Trust, the event will be a chance to learn more about health and the services on offer for patients in the region.
Scunthorpe General Hospital spokesman Simon Rigg said: “People will get a whole number of different things out of the event. If they are worried about their health or interested in infection control, there will be something for everyone.”
The health stalls will be running from noon before the trust’s annual members’ meeting which takes place between 2pm and 4pm.
Anyone hoping to attend should call the membership office on (01724) 387946 so refreshments can be arranged.
