Hospital’s Care Pledge

HEALTH bosses have unveiled the shape of things to come for the Vale of Leven Hospital - and a key pledge is that record numbers of patients will be treated.

New services planned for the campus in Alexandria, Dunbartonshire, include a rehabilitation service, a day hospital for older people and a GBP15million care home. There will also be a GBP17m medical centre.

A public consultation will begin in November and last until January.

Tom Divers, chief executive of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, said: "This vision will end years of uncertainty for staff patient and hospital supporters . "
