Take Care Health Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Walgreens, has opened two Take Care Clinics at Walgreens drugstores in Jacksonville, Florida.

The company has said that Take Care Health Systems now has 42 clinics in the state, including six in the Miami area, nine in the Orlando area, 16 in the Tampa area and nine in the West Palm Beach area. Additional locations are planned for the Jacksonville area in 2008.

Peter Miller, Take Care Health Systems' president and CEO, said: "We are excited to be operating Take Care Clinics in five Florida markets. We are able to expand into Jacksonville because consumers embrace our high-quality, affordable and convenient model of health care. More than 675,000 patients have been treated at Take Care Clinics nationwide and we look forward to providing greater access to care as we continue to expand in Florida and across the country."
