Brush Up on Healthy Living
Free workshops to promote healthy living will take place on Friday.
The event at Cobridge Community Centre is part of the Living Well In Stoke-on-Trent programme, which is a three-year BIG Lottery funded initiative which offers opportunities for local people to improve their own health, and the health of their community, through activities such as healthy walks, cook and eat sessions, and health awareness events.
Friday’s event, which starts at 9.30pm, is open to all and will include informal friendly workshops on self image, life coaching and positive problem solving.
“The event showcases local experts who will deliver accessible techniques in an informal and fun way,” said event co-ordinator Helen Davis.
“We hope that our visitors will take something useful away from the day that will help them feel more positive in their everyday lives.”
Along with the workshops, two complementary therapists will be on hand to soothe away visitors’ stresses and strains and there will be an information marketplace of stands from local care and support organisations.
