American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists District 1 Advisory Council Elects Paula Greenberg As Public Member

Nancy Bernstein, president of the Avon-based Women's Health USA, announced that Paula P. Greenberg RN, MBA, Vice President of Clinical Operations and Programs, has been elected Public Member of the District 1 Advisory Council of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). District 1 encompasses the New England states, as well as New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, P.E.I., and Quebec. ACOG is the nation's leading group of professionals providing health care for women with over 52,000 physician members.

As a District Public Member, Paula will serve for a two-year term as a voice for those who receive health care from obstetricians and gynecologists, and provide input to the District Advisory Council on a variety of women's health issues. Qualifications include demonstrated leadership skills and experience and involvement in public and community issues, particularly women's and children's health.

Prior to her current responsibilities at Women's Health, Paula spent 12 years at Hartford Hospital as Director of Antepartum & Gynecology Services and in various management roles as a member of the nursing staff. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the Hartford Graduate Center of the Rennsselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut. Paula is a board member of the Greater Hartford Arts Council, and serves on the Mayor's Task Force on the Uninsured for the City of Hartford and the State of Connecticut and the Maternal Child Health Advisory Committee.
