BCRF:
WHAT: EHE International, the leader in preventive healthcare since 1913, is proud to announce its support of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation(R) (BCRF) in its efforts to increase public awareness of the importance of breast cancer research in its mission to achieve prevention and cure in our lifetime. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, after lung cancer. It is estimated that 182,460 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and that 40,480 women will die from the disease in 2008. Based on these statistics, Deborah McKeever, President of EHE International says that "we hope to educate people about the disease, and encourage them to recognize and act on any risk factors and warning signs they might discover." To help boost awareness of BCRF's mission, EHE International has donated its 115 square-foot window display at Rockefeller Plaza to BCRF for the month of October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month . WHEN: October 1 - 31, 2008 WHERE: 10 Rockefeller Plaza, NYC SUMMARY: Since 1913, EHE International has been a recognized leader in employee and individual Preventive Healthcare Plans (PHP) specifically designed for the early identification of preventable disease and risk factors; clinical management of health findings; referral resources; and personal coaching intervention programs of adverse lifestyle behaviors associated with poor nutrition, physical inactivity, and smoking. Its nationally available PHP is a comprehensive, integrated approach to preventive healthcare for the reduction and management of future medical claims expenses. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation(R) (BCRF) was founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder as an independent, not-for- profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and translational research. A minimum of 85 cents of each dollar donated to the Foundation goes directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs. The Foundation has received the highest rating from Charity Navigator, four stars, for seven consecutive years, which means BCRF has outperformed over 99% of more than 5,000 evaluated charities in efficiently managing its finances.
