The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of McCormick-brand enchilada sauce mix because of a health risk.
The FDA said McCormick & Company Inc. initiated the voluntary recall after determining its enchilada sauce mix with UPC Code 52100091600 might contain undeclared milk ingredients, posing a health risk for people allergic to dairy products.
The "McCormick Enchilada Sauce Mix" was distributed to grocery stores nationwide beginning Sept. 17. The product is sold in 1.5-ounce pouches with a "Best By" date of "AUG2910CH." The date is printed in black on the back, bottom left of the pouch.
Consumers can return the product for a refund and can contact McCormick at 800-632-5847 for more information.
