Gordian Health to Provide iCoaching Suite to City of Charlotte

Gordian Health Solutions has signed an agreement to provide its latest suite of health coaching tools, called iCoaching, to the City of Charlotte's 6,000-plus employees, eligible spouses and retirees.

Under the agreement, the iCoaching program participants will be allowed unlimited access to Gordian personal health coaches through multiple methods of engagement including telephone, online tools, secure e-mail and/or direct mail, to suit their individual schedules and preferences.

Services are built on an integrated technology platform and offered through an online health portal, reflecting Gordian's services in the industry.

In a shift from traditional health management approaches that focus on helping individuals with one specific need at a time, Gordian uses a whole-person approach, acknowledging that individuals may be simultaneously struggling with a chronic illness, at risk for other health conditions, and seeking to improve overall wellness.

Roger Reed, executive vice president for market operations at Gordian, said: "Our main goal at Gordian is to help individuals lead healthier, happier lives, while reducing healthcare costs. We are honored to be an ongoing part of the effort to encourage healthy lifestyles and behaviors among the City of Charlotte's employees."
