‘They Were Lovely and Made Me Laugh . . .’
AMBULANCE technicians have visited a young patient whose mother commended their care in a letter to the Echo.
Nicola Harris, from Wenvoe, sent a letter to the Echo to express her gratitude to ambulance technicians, John Jones and Mark Dyer, after they took her six-year-old daughter Isobel to hospital.
The youngster had to have an operation for a broken arm after she fell down the stairs at home.
Nicola said: “The treatment she was given was fabulous. The ambulance crew were here so quickly and their care was second to none.”
John, who is based at Barry Ambulance Station, said: “It’s so nice of Isobel and her mum to thank us via their letter in the Echo.
“There are no shortage of letters which appear criticising us for delays in the service. We can understand that and we continue to try our best to improve the service, but it makes a nice change and a boost to receive some praise and thanks.”
Isobel said: “I want to say thank you to the ambulance men because they were lovely, looked after me and made me laugh.”
