Care Communications, Inc. Generates 26 Percent Year-Over-Year Revenue Growth Through Q3

Care Communications, Inc., a nationally recognized leader in the health information management (HIM) industry, today announced 26 percent year-to-date year-over-year revenue growth and the addition of 13 new client agreements through its third quarter, which ended September 31, 2008.

"We've reinvested in our customers this year," said Hal Walsh, Care Communications' senior vice president of sales and marketing. "In the face of a struggling economy and tightening hospital budgets, we've creatively collaborated with our customers to help them achieve their goals in new cost effective ways. Healthcare must continue to move forward despite the challenging times. The HIM and related services we provide pay immediate dividends for health care organizations, providing the necessary fuel they need to advance their plans for better reimbursement and electronic health record transition."

Regulatory and management challenges continued to increase demand for Care Communications' HIM services, including the need to comply with new coding and reimbursement regulations from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and prepare for the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) initiative. Care Communications also achieved significant growth in its cancer registry, medical record data abstraction and HIM staffing services divisions, fueled in part by staffing shortages and a growing insistence to maximize organizations' revenue cycles.

Organizations across the nation that rely on Care Communications run the gamut from physicians' groups, hospitals, healthcare systems, universities and research organizations to large group purchasing organizations like VHA Inc., Provista, and the US government. Some of the more noteworthy organizations to sign on with the company in the past three months include:

-- CHRISTUS Schumper, Shreveport, La.

-- Evergreen Healthcare, Kirkland, Wash.

-- Huntington Health Care, Burgaw, N.C.

-- Largo Medical Center, Largo, Fla.

-- Mason General Hospital, Shelton, Wash.

-- Metro Infectious Disease Consultants, Hinsdale, Ill.

-- St. Vincent Hospital, Santa Fe, N.M.

-- West Valley Hospital, Goodyear, Ariz.
