MVP Health Care Selects American Specialty Health (ASH) to Provide Wellness Services

SCHENECTADY, N.Y., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- MVP Health Care, a leading regional not-for-profit health insurer with 750,000 subscribers in New York state, Vermont and New Hampshire, has selected American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH) and its subsidiaries American Specialty Health Networks, Inc. and Healthyroads, Inc. to provide an affinity discount program for complementary health care services and a telephone-based coaching program to members through the Wellstyle Extras component of the health insurer's Personal Choice and New Value health plan options.
Through the affinity program, MVP and Preferred Care eligible members can receive discounts on services from ASH's nationwide network of chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, and registered dietitians. In addition, they can receive best pricing at a national network of fitness clubs and exercise centers.
Through the Healthyroads Coaching program, MVP and Preferred Care eligible members can participate in weekly telephone coaching sessions for weight management, tobacco cessation, and healthy living. This program also includes innovative online tools--including health trackers, exercise planner, meal planner, e-coaching, and a library of articles on hundreds of health-related topics.
