Caritas Christi Health Care's Angela Confoey and Craneware's Kelley Blair to Present at HFMA's Revenue Cycle Strategies Conference

Posted on: Tuesday, 21 October 2008, 09:00 CDT

Angela Confoey, CDM Director at Caritas Christi Health Care, and Kelley Blair, a senior consultant with the Craneware Business Solutions Group, will be featured speakers at the Healthcare Financial Management Association's (HFMA) 2008 Revenue Cycle Strategies Conference in Las Vegas.

The pair will present an HFMA Peer-Reviewed(R) Technology session on Tuesday, October 28, at 8 a.m. highlighting Caritas Christi's process of creating a corporate standardized CDM through the use of Craneware's Chargemaster Corporate Toolkit(R).

Caritas Christi Health Care, New England's second largest health care system with six acute care hospitals throughout Massachusetts, selected Chargemaster Corporate Toolkit in 2007 to replace manual methods of managing its charge description masters (CDM) on an individual level at each facility. By automating the process, the organization was able to access the CDM from one central point and create a corporate standardized chargemaster. Confoey and Blair's presentation will review the steps taken to achieve this corporate CDM standardization in combination with the strategies, goals and realized benefits behind the process.

Confoey has worked at Caritas for more than two years. She has a total of 10 years experience in acute care hospitals, and more than seven working with the CDM. Confoey earned her masters of healthcare administration at Simmons College in Boston, Mass., and her bachelor of arts in healthcare administration with a minor in computer information systems from Stonehill College in N. Easton, Mass.

Blair, who joined Craneware in 2006, helps clients better manage financial performance strategy projects by providing healthcare operations insights, best practice ideas, performance improvement methods and measurement tools. Blair has over ten years of healthcare operations experience. Before joining Craneware, she served as a revenue cycle system director for an integrated healthcare delivery system.
