Corphealth Chosen to Provide Managed Behavioral Health Services to Bravo Health Members
Posted on: Wednesday, 22 October 2008, 12:00 CDT
FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Corphealth, a health and productivity improvement company, announced that it has been selected by Bravo Health to provide managed behavioral health services. Bravo Health offers Medicare Advantage plans and standalone prescription drug plans to more than 208,000 members. The agreement is for three years and is renewable.
Experts estimate that mental illness incidence is on the rise, with one in four people experiencing a behavioral health problem in any given year. Undiagnosed, untreated or under-treated mental illnesses drive up health care costs and decrease personal and professional productivity. Corphealth's managed behavioral health service helps deliver the appropriate diagnosis and treatment in an integrated manner to treat mental health, substance abuse and other behavioral conditions.
"This is an important step for Corphealth to apply our years of experience in a large number of lives in the Medicare space for a new organization," said Patrick Gotcher, president of Corphealth. "Working with Bravo Health to improve their members' lives is just the beginning."
Bravo Health provides a critical service to today's Medicare beneficiaries: access to high-quality, affordable health care with a focus on network-based, managed care products. The company currently offers Medicare Advantage plans in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington, D.C., as well as standalone Part D Prescription Drug plans in 46 states.
