Segal Announces Expansion of National Health Practice Resources

Joseph A. LoCicero, President & CEO of The Segal Company, has announced an expansion of resources for the firm's National Health Practice. Mr. LoCicero said, "The recent addition of Dr. Sadhna Paralkar, a Health Management Consultant to The Segal Company, and Ms. Ritu Malhotra, Vice President and Clinical Pharmacy Consultant, further extends our Total Health Management capabilities and the range of services we can provide to clients."
Background:
Sadhna Paralkar, MD, MPH, is providing national support for the Company's Total Health Management initiatives, thought leadership for new analytical tools and assistance with a wide variety of client projects. She is an expert on designing and managing care management and disease management vendor programs. Dr. Paralkar has more than 10 years of experience in corporate health and managed care. Most recently she was Vice President for Payer Provider Consulting for Ingenix (part of UnitedHealth Group). She holds a degree in Medicine from the University of Bombay as well as an M.S. in Public Health from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Dr. Paralkar is an active member of the American Public Health Association, the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, The Institute of Medicine of Chicago and Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Foundation. Dr. Paralkar is working closely with Edward A. Kaplan, Segal's Senior Vice President and National Health Practice Leader.
Ritu Malhotra, PharmD, is providing clinical consulting, analysis, support and strategic direction for clients nationally. Ms. Malhotra has several years of pharmacy consulting experience. Most recently, she served as East Region Pharmacy Consulting Practice Leader for Hewitt. Prior to that, she worked in Aon's pharmacy practice and as a staff pharmacist for CVS. Ms. Malhotra holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and a B.A. in Biology from Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA).
