MD-Based EntreMed Inc.’s Anti-Cancer Drug to Be Studied at Duke Univ.

EntreMed Inc., of Rockville, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing therapeutics primarily for the treatment of cancer and inflammatory diseases, said its novel anti-cancer drug, called Panzem NCD, will be studied by the Duke University Medical Center with a grant from the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Panzem is being used in combination with other medicines to determine its effect on chemotherapy-resistant breast cancer.
