Community Health Systems to Participate in Credit Suisse Phoenix Healthcare Conference

Community Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE: CYH) today announced that management will participate in the Credit Suisse Phoenix Healthcare Conference to be held November 11-14, 2008, at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, Arizona.
The investor presentation by Wayne T. Smith, chairman, chief executive officer and president, will begin at 2:00 p.m. Mountain time, 4:00 p.m. Eastern time, on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, and will be available to investors via a live audio webcast.
