St. Vincent’s Medical Center Signs With Impulse Monitoring, Inc.
Impulse Monitoring, Inc. (IMI), a leading provider of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) services to hospitals, today announced that it has signed an agreement with St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL. IMI will provide St. Vincent’s with comprehensive IONM services including IMI-qualified neurophysiologists and real-time professional oversight experienced physicians. IONM assesses neurological function involving the brain, spinal cord and related nerve structures during surgery. Use of IONM facilitates the surgical process and can reduce surgical risk by providing alerts to surgeons of potential harm to spinal cord or neural structure.
“Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care in the Jacksonville area,” Kenneth P. Jones, MHA, MBA, Director of Neurosciences/Orthopedics, Administrative Director of Surgical Services, St. Vincent’s Medical Center. “By selecting Impulse Monitoring to provide IONM services, we have made a key decision that will further our reputation for setting the standard of care in our region for all surgeries requiring neuromonitoring.”
