Mark Zygaj Elected to NASHO Board of Directors

The National Association of Specialty Health Organizations (NASHO) announced that it has elected Mark Zygaj, Chief Operating Officer and Board Director of Palladian Health to its Board of Directors.

"We are pleased to have Mark Zygaj join our Board," said Julian Roberts, NASHO executive director. "His accomplishments and experience at Palladian and elsewhere in the health care industry will help move our association forward."

Zygaj is the COO of Palladian Muscular Skeletal Health, a benefits management organization that provides utilization management, case management, disease management, and technology solutions to health plans and employer groups. Palladian currently has more than 5 million lives under management. As COO Zygaj is responsible for oversight of Palladian's day-to-day operations. Prior to Palladian, he was Chief Financial Officer of the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, New York and Interim CFO for the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw, New York. Zygaj began his career at Ernst & Whinney and is a Certified Public Accountant. He received his MBA from New York University and his Bachelors of Business Administration from State University of New York.

"I feel honored to be asked to serve on the NASHO board," said Zygaj. "We share a common goal with NASHO to improve the efficiency and quality of care delivered by our industry. Specialty care has an important role to play in the improvement of our health care system and I look forward to advancing the association's efforts."

His term begins immediately and runs through 2010.
