Harris Wins IT Services Contract From National Center for Health Statistics
Harris Corporation has won a potential three-year, $5.4 million contract to provide programming support and other IT services to the US’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics.
Under the contract, Harris will continue to support activities related to the collection, analysis and dissemination of health statistics. This includes software development; database accessibility, modeling support and data warehousing; quality assurance and control; network and system engineering; data entry; and a range of other services. The contract consists of one base year with two one-year options.
Jim Traficant, vice president at Harris Healthcare Solutions, said: “Our role continues to evolve as we incorporate newer technologies that dramatically reduce the time between data acquisition and dissemination of data to researchers, collaborators and ultimately, the public, with the goal of providing vital information to enhance healthcare delivery across the continuum of care.”
