RedBrick Health Announces New CFO

RedBrick Health, a company working to improve people's lives by changing the financing of health care and engaging people in healthier lifestyles, today announced John Uribe as chief financial officer. Uribe will be in charge of financial accounting, corporate development, trust and compliance, and legal functions for RedBrick Health.

Uribe brings with him an impressive background from General Electric Commercial Finance, where he served as vice president of business development, overseeing origination and integration of major business development transactions. He took on key responsibilities, such as equity investment in strategic partners and entire company acquisitions.

Prior to GE, Uribe held various positions at General Mills, Inc., a leading global manufacturer and marketer of consumer food products. As senior director of global mergers and acquisitions, he was instrumental in the $10.5 billion Pillsbury acquisition, as well as the divesture of the domestic Haagen-Dazs business to Nestle. Uribe was also CFO of 8th Continent, a soy milk joint venture with General Mills and DuPont.

During his tenure at General Mills, Uribe was crucial in building the company's world-class corporate development organization. He led multiple strategy initiatives, revolved around portfolio management, and analyzed new market categories for the company to pursue.

"John's corporate financial leadership and consumer business experience are strong additions to our team, and will be an asset as we build our business on engaging consumers in their health," said Kyle Rolfing, founder and CEO of RedBrick Health. "John's ability to manage business ventures from initiation to implementation will be a key component in developing our client relationships with companies that support healthy lifestyles among their employees. RedBrick Health is excited to add John's experience as we continue to help our clients realize more cost efficient options for health care spending."

RedBrick Health brings innovation to health care solutions through Consumer-Owned Health, which links premiums to healthy choices in a fair and equitable manner. Separate from a company's health plan, RedBrick Health also offers independent advocacy to help individuals take ownership of their health and get the most out of their health care benefits. Uribe's addition to RedBrick Health will help to further the company's purpose of helping people be healthy.
