Coventry Health Care of Kansas Expands Coverage to Offer Medicare Advantage Plans to Beneficiaries in 19 Additional Kansas and Missouri Counties
Coventry Health Care of Kansas has expanded its current service area to include eligible Medicare beneficiaries in the following Kansas and Missouri counties:

During the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, which runs from November 15 through December 31, Medicare beneficiaries in these counties can enroll for coverage that includes services not routinely offered by Original Medicare, including:
-- No- or low-cost preventive services
-- Routine vision and hearing exams
-- Coverage for eyewear and hearing aids
-- Health club membership
-- Preventive dental program
Medicare beneficiaries can take advantage of these benefits for no additional monthly plan premium.
"Given the current economic situation, Medicare eligibles and their families are understandably concerned about getting the most value for their dollar," said Michael Murphy, president and chief executive officer. "The Medicare Advantage plans offered by Coventry Health Care offer a way to get coverage and service beyond what is offered by Original Medicare."

Coventry Health Care of Kansas is also one of only a few insurers in the state to offer Special Needs Plans (SNPs) for those with chronic health conditions.
AdvantraExtra(SM) is designed to help those with diabetes or high cholesterol by offering not only coverage beyond Original Medicare, but by helping them with the costs of chronic-care specific supplies and often costly prescription medication.
