McAllister Software Systems(R) Announces AVImark(R) Integration With Veterinary Pharmacy Reference Software

PIEDMONT, Mo., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- McAllister Software Systems, Inc. announced that the next version of its industry-leading software, AVImark 2009, will integrate with Veterinary Pharmacy Reference software (VPR). This allows veterinarians to access a wealth of pharmaceutical information

-- including potential side effects and drug interactions -- right from the AVImark software, making it easier to pass this information along to clients.

According to the FDA, most pet owners who reported an adverse drug experience in their pets were not aware that a particular drug prescribed could cause such a reaction. With AVImark's new VPR integration, veterinarians can quickly and easily access this information right from AVImark's client display, print client handouts (with or without specific prescription information), and automatically generate drug interaction warnings for patients.

Beginning in December 2008, veterinarians will be able to purchase the VPR software directly from McAllister Software Systems, along with AVImark 2009.
