Chicago Prostate Center Unveils Helpful New Website

December 16, 2008

WESTMONT, Ill., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ — Chicago Prostate Center, the
country’s only free-standing healthcare facility dedicated strictly to the
diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, has unveiled a helpful new website
for men and their families. The site (http://www.prostateimplant.com) was
created to inform patients exploring their options and for those who are
interested in learning more about brachytherapy (radioactive seed
implantation). The Chicago Prostate Center specializes in brachytherapy
treatment.

“One in six men today will be diagnosed with prostate cancer,” medical
director Dr. Brian Moran explains. “Due to early detection and screening, we
are diagnosing patients at a much younger age. Since this is not a problem
that is going away any time soon, we need to educate men of all ages.”

The new website includes information on an advanced biopsy technique, as
well as tools to help newly diagnosed patients make an educated decision about
treatment. It features common myths about prostate cancer, testimonials from
patients of varying ages, frequently-asked questions, a virtual tour of the
state-of-the-art center and many more resources.

Chicago Prostate Cancer, located in Westmont, IL, specializes in the
evaluation, appropriate opinions and state-of-the-art treatment for patients
diagnosed with prostate cancer. The center also houses the Prostate Cancer
Foundation of Chicago, a not-for-profit organization that conducts ongoing
research intended to improve the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
