ACS Appoints Veteran Healthcare and Outsourcing Leader David Bywater Managing Director of ACS Healthcare Solutions

DALLAS, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --David Bywater has been named managing director of ACS' (NYSE: ACS) Healthcare Solutions line of business. ACS Healthcare Solutions provides a full array of healthcare transformational and technology consulting outsourcing services to healthcare delivery systems to help them operate more efficiently and effectively.

"David's extensive background in the healthcare and outsourcing industries, as well as his knowledge of ACS, makes him the ideal candidate to lead this line of business," said Tom Blodgett, executive vice president and group president of ACS' Business Process Solutions. "David's proven record of success demonstrates his responsiveness, reliability and flexibility to meet the needs of our clients."

Bywater returns to ACS from Mediconnect Global where he was global president. Previously, Bywater was the senior managing director for ACS' Human Resource Outsourcing Solutions line of business. He has also served in a variety of management positions within ACS, including senior vice president of ACS ITO International Operations, as well as the managing director of ACS' Healthcare Payer line of business.

Earlier, Bywater worked as a senior manager for Bain & Company where he developed growth strategies and operational efficiencies for clients across a variety of industries including airlines, personal computers, and professional service firms. This work was conducted on a global basis with particular focus in Europe, Central America, Asia, and North America.

Bywater has a BS in Economics from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
