MIAMI, Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ — After painting Black Friday pink on
November 28, CompUSA ( www.compusa.com ) and TigerDirect
( www.tigerdirect.com ), leading retailers of consumer electronics and
technology products, raised more than $40,000 from total sales and customer
donations for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest breast cancer
organization.

“We are excited so many of our customers bought products or made donations
that benefited Komen for the Cure,” said Gilbert Fiorentino, Chief Executive
of Systemax Inc. Technology Products business, which includes CompUSA and
TigerDirect. “In addition, we donated an additional $100,000 to Komen
following the event, for a total donation of $140,000, and will continue to
raise money for the cause the remainder of the year.”

Customers, on what has become one of the busiest shopping days of the
year, were given an opportunity to donate $1, $5, $10 or $20 on top of their
in-store or on-site purchase to the organization. In addition, full proceeds
of sale products during the Pink Friday webcast ( www.pinkfriday.org ) went
directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure partners with a variety of organizations,
offering hundreds of creative opportunities for people to be a part of the
breast cancer movement,” said Katrina McGhee, vice president of marketing at
Komen for the Cure. “CompUSA and TigerDirect offered a great way for people
to ‘think pink’ when they were shopping on Black Friday.”

This year, close to 35,000 fewer women are expected to be diagnosed with
invasive breast cancer, according to data presented by the American Cancer
Society (ACS). The decrease is attributed to earlier detection through
screening, increased awareness and improved treatments.
