The Risk Management and Patient Safety Institute Announces Winter and Spring 2009 Audio Program Lineup, Annual Conference Dates

LANSING, Mich., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Risk Management and Patient Safety Institute (RM&PSI) today announced its winter and spring 2009 audio program calendar. The spring 2009 calendar also provides information regarding the Institute's national risk management seminar, Don't Risk Financial Security: Preventing Hospital-acquired Conditions, April 27-28, 2009, at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. This year's annual seminar will focus on helping health care institutions understand and prepare for the new Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) "preventable conditions" reimbursement rules that went into effect in October 2008. Each one-hour RM&PSI program begins at 2 p.m. EST and features nationally recognized speakers and content experts addressing emerging issues and solutions in patient safety, clinical risk reduction, regulatory and accreditation, and other medical liability trends. Sessions typically offer one or more continuing medical education credits (CME) or nursing contact hours. Each audio program is available for a fixed rate, with no limit to the number of staff who may attend.
