Lillians(TM) Postpones 'The Dance' Fundraising Event; New Date Is October 23, 2009

Sara's Dance Foundation to Host Five Cancer Fighters on January 30th for a Day of Pampering

PLYMOUTH, Minn., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Lillians(TM), The Hippest Shoppe in Town(R) and the founding organization of Sara's Dance Foundation, has announced that it will postpone "the dance," its annual fundraising event originally scheduled for Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, until Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at the Medina Entertainment Center.

The annual soiree, created to raise funds to build The Dance Wellness Center - a first-of-its-kind wellness center for women fighting cancer and other serious illnesses.

"Due to unprecedented economic issues and the financial hardship that many families, businesses and vendors are currently experiencing, we've decided to postpone 'the dance' until October," said Cindy Deuser, CEO of Lillians and Founding Committee Member of Sara's Dance Foundation.

A Day at The Dance Wellness Center Without Walls

Instead on January 30th, Sara's Dance Foundation will host five women currently fighting cancer to a day at The Dance Wellness Center Without Walls.

"The day's events are designed to replicate the types of experiences women will have when they visit The Dance Wellness Center in the future," said Deuser.

The group will travel by limousine to New Reflections Salon & Spa in Maple Grove, where the women will be treated to any services they choose. Next, they will make their way to Second Debut in St. Louis Park to shop for an outfit of their choice, before going to the Minnetonka Country Club for a special luncheon. The day will wrap up with a complimentary shopping spree at Lillians of Excelsior.

"Our mission with this day of pampering and The Dance Wellness Center is to give women a reason to forget their illness and remember what it feels like to laugh with the girls, be feminine and look great."

About Sara's Dance Foundation

Sara's Dance Foundation was established in 2005 for Sara Johnson-Turpin, a young woman who lost a courageous battle with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. In her memory, close friend of the Johnson family, Deuser, created the foundation to build and operate a campus for women recovering from cancer treatment or living with a serious illness.
