InfoLogix Develops Organizational Development and Mobility Training Solution for Edward Hospital

InfoLogix's e-Learning Team Develops Custom, Web-Based Training Solution to Reduce Costs and Improve Employee Productivity

InfoLogix has successfully developed custom, web-based training solutions for more than 5,000 Edward Hospital employees across 17 different campuses over the past several years. As a result, when Edward Hospital faced a new, human resource development and training challenge, they turned to InfoLogix for assistance based on InfoLogix's deep understanding of the day-to-day challenges healthcare organizations face. In particular, Edward Hospital was struggling to find a better way to educate its administrators, department managers and clinicians on the latest software applications and hospital procedures -- a daunting task given the dynamic, around-the-clock schedules of their employees.

The traditional, classroom-based training approach Edward Hospital had relied upon prior to InfoLogix proved to be expensive and cumbersome. Because of demanding employee schedules, in the past, they offered each four-hour training session at least ten times a month, and when patient emergencies arose, employees were often forced to reschedule their training on short notice, significantly increasing costs. Edward Hospital wanted a more efficient, flexible training solution that would accommodate unpredictable employee schedules and minimize the time managers and clinicians were away from their core duties and patients. To address this challenge, they engaged InfoLogix to create a customized, media-rich OnTrack Learning Management System specific to the technology and workflow processes used by the Edward Hospital organization.

The development of the sophisticated, Learning Management System encompassed several distinct phases.
