The House Appropriations Committee plays a key role in deciding the fate of 20 laws that ensure that U.S. taxpayers are not forced to hand over their hard-earned dollars to pay for and promote abortion on demand.
“Congress has enacted these rules consistently for the past three decades,” said Family Research Council President
“Chairman Obey has the most power of any member of Congress to prevent the repeal of these wise and settled laws. These rules consist of the Hyde Amendment, conscience protections, and numerous other reasonable policies that the American people widely support. We hope Congressman Obey will act to keep Congress – and us taxpayers – out of the abortion business.”
