QSGI Integrates Fujitsu Mag EraSURE Data Degausser into its Suite of Information Technology Security Services

Industry-Leading Degaussing Solution Permanently Disposes Magnetically Recorded Data to Help QSGI's Customers Bolster Information Security and Satisfy Compliance Requirements

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a leading supplier of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced that QSGI INC is using the Fujitsu Mag EraSURE degaussing solution as part of its industry-leading suite of information technology security services. QSGI is a leading provider of a full suite of information technology services to help corporations better manage IT assets, data center maintenance expenses and ensure best practices for data security and regulatory compliance. The Fujitsu Mag EraSURE degausser permanently erases all magnetically recorded data on hard disk drives (HDDs) and other storage devices, enabling QSGI to degauss large quantities of HDDs and other back-up tapes while on-site at customers' facilities. It helps customers to comply with HIPAA, SOX, PCI DSS and other regulations.

Mag EraSURE disposes of information embedded several layers down that might not have been deleted using conventional methods such as reformatting. QSGI services customers across a wide variety of industries--including banking and financial services, government, retail, manufacturing and healthcare--and the Fujitsu Mag EraSURE degausser facilitates reliable disposal of sensitive information.

QSGI recommends degaussing the drives with Mag EraSURE to ensure that data is completely removed and cannot be recovered.
