WHERE

The National Mall in Washington, D.C.; people who cannot make it to the Mall can still support the event by sponsoring a participant or becoming virtual walkers and fundraising for the cause. By walking in their own community on the day of the National Walk for Epilepsy, virtual walkers help demonstrate their commitment to those impacted by epilepsy.

WHY

Although the stigma surrounding epilepsy continues to diminish, there are still many misconceptions about this serious neurological condition. Today, more than three million people in the United States are living with epilepsy. The Walk is the largest national event dedicated to raising awareness of epilepsy and to raising funds to support epilepsy programs, education, advocacy and research.

Faneca and Snelling have epilepsy and have never allowed this neurological condition to be a barrier to success. These professional football players, along with Grunberg, whose son has epilepsy, are helping educate the world about epilepsy and also empowering those impacted by the condition to speak out and continue to break down barriers for persons living with epilepsy. Join the Walk to bring awareness to epilepsy and raise funds that will create much needed programs and help in the search for a cure. For more information, visit www.WahlkForEpilepsy.org.
