What: News conference announcing introduction of House Bill 601. The legislation would require calories on menu boards used by fast-food chains, and calories, saturated plus trans fat, carbohydrates, and sodium on printed menus at sit-down chain restaurants like Applebee’s or Olive Garden. (The bill would not apply to restaurants with fewer than 15 outlets). Chain restaurant foods with surprising calorie counts will be on display.
