Dr. Praeger's Sensible Foods Launches Four New Frozen Food Products

Sensible Food Leader Unveils New California Veggie Pockets, Tex Mex Veggie Pockets, Falafel Flats and Burrito Bites at Natural Products Expo West Conference

ANAHEIM, Calif., March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Praeger's Sensible Foods, the leader in sensible, heart-friendly frozen foods, introduced today four new products to its line of all-natural frozen foods. The new products include California Veggie Pockets, Tex Mex Veggie Pockets, Falafel Flats and Burrito Bites. The new products will supplement Dr. Praeger's existing line of frozen foods, which include an assortment of veggie burgers, home-style pancakes, fish items, gluten-free options, appetizers and a kids line.

All of the new products are free of saturated and trans fat, cholesterol, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), artificial flavorings, colors and preservatives. The products are a good source of fiber and certified Kosher, while the California Veggie Pockets, Tex Mex Veggie Pockets and Falafel Flats have reduced sodium and the Burrito Bites are low fat. Descriptions of each product include:

• California Veggie Pockets
  • These pockets offer a twist on the traditional California Veggie Burger. Each pocket comes individually wrapped and is encased in a whole wheat crust.

• Tex Mex Veggie Pockets
  • With the Tex Mex Veggie Burger as its base, these pockets are coated with a corn and wheat crust. Each pocket comes individually wrapped.

• Falafel Flats
  • The first falafel product offered by Dr. Praeger's Sensible Foods, these wholesome patties are made with chick peas and other all-natural ingredients.

• Burrito Bites
  • The latest edition to Dr. Praeger's "Bites" collection that can be served as an appetizer, snack or side dish, these southwestern flavored bites contain black beans, brown rice and other all-natural ingredients.
