Julie Gallagher Joins Akerman Senterfitt's Healthcare Practice

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Akerman Senterfitt today announced that Julie Gallagher has joined the firm's Tallahassee office, as Of Counsel with the Healthcare Practice Group. Ms. Gallagher's work focuses on the representation of physicians and other medical practitioners, pharmaceutical companies, individual health care providers and health care facilities. She joins the firm from Greenburg Traurig, where she spent seven years as a shareholder.

Ms. Gallagher brings nearly three decades of experience in the area of healthcare law, including serving as General Counsel to the Agency for Healthcare Administration in Florida. She has litigated on behalf of private sector clients whose businesses are increasingly impacted by governmental regulation and advises clients such as pharmaceutical companies, individual healthcare providers and healthcare facilities, on proactive business plans and risk assessment and management. She routinely deals with matters before numerous agencies, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, the Food and Drug Administration and the Office of the Inspector General. Ms. Gallagher is a member of the Florida Bar and is board certified in state and federal government and administrative practice.
