Heartwood Center Announces Launch of 2009 Women And Cancer Program

Women contacting Heartwood will go through a screening process to determine which services might be most beneficial. A tailored treatment program will be created for each woman utilizing Heartwood's experienced staff. Participants in the 2009 Women and Cancer Program will not be charged for their treatment.
Heartwood's Women and Cancer Program is in its sixth year helping women meet the challenge of facing cancer by offering a holistic approach to their care.
Participants will be interviewed on a first-come, first-served basis and the program's consultants will help each woman choose treatment according to her own needs. The program is managed in partnership with the Rogers Park Community Council, and relies on Heartwood's expert and compassionate professional health providers to address the unique psychological, physical and spiritual challenges of women facing cancer with a holistic approach to their care.
Heartwood's services under the program include: Acupuncture Massage Therapy Psychotherapy Tai Chi Yoga Meditation
