Card Scanning Solutions Begins a New Era of Hands-On Customer Service

CULVER CITY, Calif., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- In years past, image processing and OCR software company Card Scanning Solutions (CSSN) relied on third-party distributors to serve members of the medical industry who ordered items from the company's MedicScan(R) and ScanShell(R) (http://www.medicscan-online.com) line of products. Effective immediately, CSSN's in-house team will be handling all sales inquiries, purchasing requirements, technical support, customer service and warranty issues.

"We have made every effort to make this transition seamless for our customers," said Iuval Hatzav, Executive Vice President of CSSN. "They can now purchase items directly from us, and will find that the SKU product identification code and pricing have remained the same. Moreover, the standard product warranty and previously purchased items' extended warranties will be honored completely." The CSSN Web site (http://www.medicscan-online.com) offers an online store containing an array of scanners and signature pads for various types of cards and other media. All products will be shipped from CSSN's distribution center. In addition, purchasers use the site to download device drivers, calibration sheets, hardware spec sheets and user guides for the products.

CSSN creates card reading systems that combine Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology with barcode and magnetic data reading. The company's products are designed to quickly and accurately read the text on driver licenses, ID cards, medical insurance cards, visitor cards and even checks. When users feed cards into the scanners, the scanning process occurs in less than three seconds so that batch jobs can be processed at a rate of more than 1,000 cards per hour.
