Life Time Fitness Columbia Site Open for Pre-Sale
Life Time Fitness, Inc. (NYSE:LTM), a national operator of large and distinctive health and fitness centers, today announced plans to open a new, state-of-the-art sports and athletics, professional fitness, family recreation and resort/spa center in Columbia, Maryland. The new facility will mark the Company’s first center in Maryland and the third in the Northern Virgina/Washington D.C. area. An early 2006 opening for the center is scheduled.
The new health and fitness resort will offer 24-hour access to more than 400 pieces of the state-of-the-art cardiovascular, resistance and free-weight training equipment, along with many amenities, including multiple group fitness studios, a team of certified personal trainers and comprehensive and individualized programming, a wide selection of adult and youth programs and activities, rock climbing walls, multiple full-size basketball courts, squash and racquetball courts, dry sauna and steam rooms. The center also sports a large indoor/outdoor aquatics center, featuring multiple two-story waterslides, two large, zero-depth recreation pools, a lap pool, children’s interactive play area, and two whirlpools.
Families will appreciate Life Time Fitness’ large child center, featuring free child care, a play maze, children’s court area, computer center, separate infant playroom, and numerous children’s activities. Dedicated family locker rooms also are available.
