Partnership for a Drug-Free America / MetLife Foundation Survey Shows More Parents Are Talking With Their Teens About Cough Medicine Abuse

The latest PATS-Parents results show an 18 percent increase in parent-teen conversations about cough medicine abuse. This was the single highest increase in all categories examined in the survey.
"The data are encouraging, since we know that kids who learn a lot from their parents about the risks of drugs are up to 50 percent less likely to ever use drugs," said
CHPA works with the Partnership and other interested organizations on a number of initiatives targeting teen cough medicine abuse.
