Streamwood Hospital Opens New Children's Center to Meet Vital Community Need

42 beds added to serve the most clinically complex children

The vision for the Children's Center was established through dialogue with community partners like DCFS, DHS, schools, local law enforcement, social service agencies, parents and children. A comprehensive treatment environment has risen with the conception of the new facility called Healthy Opportunity in a Peaceful Environment or H.O.P.E.
Since 1991, Streamwood Behavioral Health Systems has served community needs by collaborating with facility leaders and employees as well as area residents to design programs that focus on prevention, intervention and sustainable aftercare for children and adolescents between the ages of 3 and 17 years old.
"Our goal is to find treatment solutions that work when traditional interventions have failed," said CEO Meyer. "In turn, our team of experts as well as the latest research allows us to provide advanced treatment options to children."
