Improved patient care and enhanced services delivered through local radiologists

TOLEDO, Ohio, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Imaging Advantage LLC (imaging-advantage.com), a nationally-recognized radiology management company, today announced the successful launch of radiology services at Mercy Health Partners (MHP)'s four Metro hospitals: St. Vincent Mercy, St. Anne Mercy, St. Charles Mercy and St. Vincent Mercy Children's Hospital.

In addition to maintaining the quality services for which Mercy is known, Imaging Advantage's team of highly-qualified, sub-specialty trained radiologists are now providing access to previously unavailable specialty services, such as interventional neuroradiology and musculoskeletal radiology. Additionally, patients will benefit from the implementation of a noninvasive 3D Cardiac CTA program and other state-of-the-art innovations, like clinical decision support software.

Dr. Imran Andrabi, President & CEO of St. Vincent Mercy, established as Toledo's first hospital in 1855 and a Level I Trauma Center, stated, "We have been impressed by Imaging Advantage's ability to objectively and critically analyze needs, as well as reach out to local community radiologists working at Mercy. Our commitment to our patients is unsurpassed, and this focus is shared by Imaging Advantage."

Imaging Advantage is working closely with Mercy's management and radiology staff to implement key enhancements in clinical excellence to deliver a high level of interaction and accessibility to the medical staff at each of the hospitals. Imaging Advantage CEO M. Naseer-Uddin Hashim said, "Mercy has long been at the forefront of delivering superlative patient care in Toledo, and we have seen the strength of this commitment as we have worked with them to determine how to best bring new services and technologies to their community."

Richard Evens, President & CEO, St. Anne Mercy Hospital said, "This new contract demonstrates Mercy's commitment to providing high quality care with a focus on exceptional, personal service to both physicians and patients. Through our partnership with Imaging Advantage and investments in technology, we will provide our patients and physicians with access to the best radiology services in the communities we serve."

"Imaging Advantage's team of highly-qualified, sub-specialty trained radiologists are now providing access to previously unavailable specialty services, such as interventional neuroradiology" - as far as I've heard, most interventional procedures have been cancelled and there is one, yes one, interventional radiologist doing all procedures. and he is a locums (read fill-in/substitute). Dr. Imran Andrabi, President & CEO: "We have been impressed by Imaging Advantage's ability to ...reach out to local community radiologists working at Mercy." None (yes, none) of the radiologists previously working at Mercy are currently working there. They were told they had 3 weeks to clear out their offices or join IA. Wow, Mercy, your "commitment to patient care" barely exceeds your commitment to the physicians of Toledo. This press release and the comments made by Toledo physicians nauseates me.

Media Contact: Erin Mitchell RLM Public Relations imaging@RLMpr.com (212) 741-5106 x233 Dear Erin, Have you considered calling any of the Mercy Hospitals to ask the techs or patients just HOW things are going? Are there any interventionalists available to do ports? Is 3 hour turn around time acceptable? Is anything you wrote actual based on fact?
