American Hospital Management Company and HOSPIRIO collaborate to accomplish the vision of the leading doctors, local investors and the School of Medicine for Universidad del Azuay to develop a state-of-art teaching hospital in Ecuador

LONGMONT, Colo. and CUENCA, Ecuador, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- American Hospital Management Company (AHMC) announces with HOSPIRIO the opening of the new facility in Cuenca, Ecuador. The new hospital has 80 medical-surgical inpatient beds, 7 day hospital beds, 10 adult intensive care beds, 8 neonatal intensive care beds, 6 surgical suites, 10 emergency beds, 161 doctors offices, 18 commercial stores, fully equipped diagnostic and intervention radiology services with 1.5 Tesla MRI, 64 slice computerized tomography, invasive cardiovascular lab, and specialized laboratory. AHMC´s executive Dr. Diego Castresana MD, MHA is the CEO of the hospital.
