AAHSA Statement on Long-Term Services and Supports CBO Scoring
Posted on: Thursday, 25 June 2009, 17:45 CDT
"The scoring issued today by the Congressional Budget Office on Section 191 of the Affordable Health Choices Act proves that our country can create a national insurance trust for long-term services and supports that is affordable for average Americans and does not drain government resources. Congress and President Obama have a unique opportunity to help elders and those with disabilities access and afford essential services and supports to help them remain independent and in their own homes. We look forward to health care reform legislation that includes a national voluntary insurance program for purchasing community living assistance services and supports."
