SCAN Health Plan Selects Kathy Taylor-Laws as Vice President of Network Management Services

PHOENIX, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- SCAN Health Plan announced today that it has hired Kathy Taylor-Laws as its vice president of network management services, effective immediately. Taylor-Laws brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership.

As vice president Taylor-Laws will be responsible for the development and management of a quality network of health professionals on behalf of SCAN's members throughout Maricopa County. "Access to quality care is paramount at SCAN Health Plan," said Tom Lescault, president of SCAN in Arizona. Currently the SCAN network consists of more than 2,000 physicians, 29 hospitals and 51 skilled nursing facilities. "Provider choice is important to our members, and we will continue to expand our network under Kathy's leadership," he added.

Prior to joining SCAN Health Plan, Taylor-Laws has held several network management positions at three Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) health plans as well as served as a compliance officer at AHCCCS. Her most recent position was chief executive officer at Comprehensive Medical and Dental Program, an AHCCCS plan that provides health coverage to foster children statewide.
