Cephalon Announces Executive Appointment; Jeff Myers Named Vice President of Government Affairs
FRAZER, Pa. and WASHINGTON, July 13 /PRNewswire/ — Cephalon, Inc. today announced the appointment of Jeff Myers to Vice President, Government Affairs. In this position, he will develop policy positions and manage the company’s advocacy efforts with the Congress and federal agencies, as well as coordinate the company’s participation in industry trade associations such as the Biotechnology Industry Organization and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers Association. He is based in Cephalon’s new Washington, D.C. office.
Myers has more than 15 years of government relations experience and has worked on healthcare policy for the past 12 years. Most recently, he served as Director of Government Relations at BiogenIdec, where he was responsible for representing the company before the legislative, executive, and administrative branches of the federal government. His experience also includes roles of increasing responsibility as legislative assistant and legislative director for several members of the U.S. House of Representatives.
